The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

The Legend of Zelda games come out only once a few years, so you can imagine that a lot of people are pumped about The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. With new mechanics, a plethora of interesting gameplay ideas and a very impressive game world, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is indeed set to revolutionize the game world next year.

Another thing to note is that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will also be launched on a new console from Nintendo. It’s interesting to see how the game will fare and how much fun will the game actually be. The gameplay trailers look amazing, so hopefully the game will deliver!

Kingdom Come: Deliverance

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is a medieval RPG focused on realism. What makes it distinct is the true focus on combat, accuracy and the beautiful game world. The realistic gameplay offered here might not be for everyone, but Kingdom Come: Deliverance does a very good job at delivering a great story in a very interesting, large and fun world. If you pre-purchase the game you will get access to the beta and, as you will see, the beta version is very good and it will make you want more!

Prey 2

We finally have a new Prey game, although technically this is not a sequel. We will play the role of a soldier who was brainwashed and which is now lost in the depths of space. He will have to fight hordes and hordes of aliens as he tries to figure out what happened and what he can do to go back home. It’s definitely one of the best and most exciting experiences that you always wanted from a shooter. Based on the gameplay trailers, the game does seem to be rather brutal, so we can see it as a great follow-up to this year’s Doom.

Red Dead Redemption 2

After 7 years, a sequel is finally coming for Red Dead Redemption. Little is known about Red Dead Redemption 2 aside from the fact that it will be released during fall 2017. However, the gameplay trailer shows a very impressive game world, great graphics and a combination of new main characters. Despite the fact that we lack a lot of information, people are already excited about the game and it’s easy to see why. Red Dead Redemption was one of the best western games ever created, so you can imagine that Red Dead Redemption 2 will follow the same trend. And after a very successful GTA V, Rockstar definitely has the money and expertise to launch maybe one of the best western-inspired games ever created.

Injustice 2

Why is Injustice 2 in this list? Despite the fact that it didn’t have a lot of marketing, the first Injustice game was a sleeper hit and a lot of people have been lingering for a sequel. Injustice 2 is set to come during 2017 and the gameplay previews are very promising. Each character is set to have a new piece of armor and some great new powers. Also, the roster is expanded to include a plethora of other DC characters as well. If you have even the slightest interest in fighting games, you will find Injustice 2 to be very rewarding and a great addition to your game collection. No word on a PC version just yet though, hopefully that will change soon.

State of Decay 2

State of Decay was a success on both Xbox and Windows, so State of Decay 2 is here to bring us even more zombie mayhem and fun. The game does a very good job at offering us an incredible set of gameplay mechanics and interesting ideas. If you have even the slightest interest in action games or zombie games, State of Decay 2 should be right up your alley. Aside from the 2017 release window and a trailer, nothing is known about the game. What we can imagine for this game is more of the same zombie mayhem and maybe some new game mechanics. Either way, we are in for quite some fun!

South Park: The Fractured But Whole

Even if South Park: The Fractured But Whole is not for everybody, South Park fans and people that liked the first game will be ecstatic to hear that Ubisoft launches a new game in this series. We will have a new story, new characters and some interesting twists. But, just like any other South Park game, South Park: The Fractured But Whole will also be focused on fun and interesting comedy bits. Basically, you have everything you need for a cool comedic experience, so we hope that South Park: The Fractured But Whole will indeed deliver on its promise.

After Vampire: The Masquerade, little to no games have managed to successfully bring a great vampire story to life. Vampyr is set to change that, and this RPG does seem to be a very dark, challenging title with a very interesting plot and great gameplay. The gameplay trailers look amazing, the dark atmosphere definitely suits the tone of the game, so we couldn’t be more excited about the title.

Overall, we have a great list of games coming up in 2017, and these are only a few of the many titles that are already in development. You can also expect a new Resident Evil, Outlast 2, Absolver, Sniper Ghost Warrior 3, Sniper Elite 4, Sea of Thieves, Agents of Mayhem, Friday the 13th The Game, Crackdown 3, Nioh and many others. So, you can prepare yourself and your wallet, as 2017 is set to be one intense and fun gaming year!
